The festival's make comes from the Filipino terms hiyas (jewel) and pahiyas (precious offering). This fiesta is an old farmers' harvesting festivity that dates back to the 16th century. Granting to fable, San Isidro Labrador as if by magic plowed the field whenever he run out of the church. This is the history that the Spaniards gone on to the Philippines from Mexico during their intricate period. Since then, the Pahiyas Festival has existing a beginning of inflammation for the locals and visitors of Quezon Province.
